Designer Clothes in Paris

When we were walking to Le Souffle we passed a lot of designer stores. 




The first store we passed was Louis Vuitton. The window display was a bunch of purses that were based on paintings. There was a picture of the Mona Lisa and in big gold letters it said Da Vinci. We had to take a picture of the purses in the Louis Vuitton window because a friend of ours, Clara, thought that the purses were really ugly. My dad thought that it would be really easy to make a knock-off of it ,because it already looked like one. 








In the Dior window there was beautiful red dress that I would wear if it was not over 1,000 euros. 







On the way we also passed by Jimmy Choo, the shoe designer, and they had loafers in the window with pretty gems on them. I checked out the Jimmy Choo website and I designed my own shoe and it was navy satin and it said KTH on the back of the shoe, the shoe heel was 3.3 inches and it was $750.00 (no, I didn't buy it). Then when I told my dad about it he said that satin is 100x more delicate than suede and if you get a stain on satin it will most likely not come out. Then you have spent $750.00 on shoes and you probably won't wear them again because they have a big stain on them. But they will be to heartbroken to throw them  or give them away. 




During our walk we passed several Chanel stores. There were separate stores for clothes, jewelry, purses, shoes. and more. It was crazy.








While we were walking by all the designer shops we saw a window that really caught our eye. The window had 3 dresses and all 3 of them looked like nightgowns but they were very pretty nightgowns. 

Walking by all the designer windows was great fun, but sadly it had to end.

Norwegian Star Kid's Club

On some cruises, I don't like to go to the kids club at all, but on the Norwegian Star cruise from Dubai to Venice I actually begged my parents to let me go. I went to the kids club a lot on the cruise. At the kids club they had a theme each night. The first night I came It was pirate night. We did a bunch of prate activities like we had to pretend to scrub the floors and look to see if there was any battle ships it was really fun. 

There were a lot of Australian kids on the boat Tess, Ben, Hayden, Erin and Susie. 

There was one girl from England named Holly she and I spent a lot of time together.

There was one other American, his name was Orion and he was from Utah. 

There was an activity at the pool one day. It was learn circus tricks and you could learn how to spin plates that were plastic and you could try to balance devil sticks (which was very hard for me). You could juggle which was not my expertise. So the moral of this story is the cruise staff was trying not to have kids run away and join the circus.  

Anyway, on this cruise, the kid's club was a lot of fun and I made a lot of new friends.

Kokonor

We took the Metro to Luxembourg Station and went to one of our favorite restaurants, Kokonor. When we were there 2 years ago, I drew a picture of Minnie Mouse and gave it to the waiter.  As soon as we walked in she remembered us and she still has the picture!





We had the best time at Kokonor!









The tea at Kokonor is amazing they put dried flowers , goji berries and much more. 

We had lentil soup with beef, corn and greens pepper soup with coriander.

For our main course we had 3 kinds of dumplings. 2 different fried dumplings and 1 kind of steamed dumplings

When I opened the top of the steamed dumplings a big puff of steam came out, so I kept opening it and staying "Poufffff". It was fun




For dessert my mom  and I had rice pudding with dried fruit. It was delicious. 




After we left Kokonor, we walked to Luxembourg Park. There was a huge pond with a lot of tiny sail boats. We rented 1 for 30 minutes and I had a lot of fun making sure that it didn't bang into the wall. 

Then we took the R.E.R back to where our apartment is an went to Le Poste and got box's to ship stuff back home. we went to the grocery store and then went back to the apartment. It was a very good day!

Postcards

My dad likes collecting t-shirts and my mom likes collecting Christmas ornaments. I like collecting postcards especially 3D ones of special places like Trevi Fountain. I have some really cool postcards. I have one of the coliseum in 3D and I have an old man holding a baguette and  a cigar in France.  I also have one that has a bunch of  exotic fruits like durian and dragon fruit. I have another one from France and it has a street with a beautiful mural and it has  a car from the 1940s. The coolest thing about 3D postcards is it looks so real that you could almost walk into it.  How they have that 3D effect is that it is a bunch of strips and you move it left and right it changes pictures but your brain thinks it is the same picture. but it really is 2 different pictures.

We saw an awful lot of plays in London, part 3

Today we saw American in Paris. Their was so many bright colors and the dancing was flabbergasting (I love that word!) it was a lot of ballet. There is actually a movie and it was made in 1951 with Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron. The movie was very different from the Musical they added a bunch of new things. They had beautiful costumes that were very pretty. It is about an American who just got finished serving for the war and he decided to stay in Paris. He starts painting and he not bad. Then he met a guy at a café that played the piano and doing songs for a ballet. He went to a rehearsal with the piano player and met a beautiful girl named Liz but he liked to call her Liza. He winds up falling in love with her but he does not know that one of his best friends (Henri) is engaged to her. Henri is a night club singer but his parents do not know and he sings I'll build a stairway to paradise.

 At the intermission we got Haagen Daz my mom got Praline and cream and I got Chocolate. My mom talked to the lady sitting next to her and found out that she had turned 99 years old 3 days earlier. She was a ballerina when she was young and she told us we should to see the Royal Ballet.

We saw an awful lot of plays in London, part 2

The second play that we saw in London was Mamma Mia. It was awesome!!!!!!!! Mamma Mia! has so many beautiful costumes and all the songs that they sing are from ABBA. 

My best friend and I love this movie. We love dancing to  the awesome song. Our favorite song is "Dancing Queen".

Mamma Mia! is about a girl named Sophie and she has a single mom, Her mom has never told her about her father or should I say fathers. Sophie reads are moms diary while she was pregnant with her and she dated 3 guys so she invited all 3 to wedding to see which one was really her father. Her mom does not want her knowing about her father.

We saw an awful lot of plays in London

The first play we saw in London was School of Rock. School of Rock is about a guy named Duey Finn  and he is almost broke and he used to be in a band but they kicked him out. He gets a phone call asking if his friend is there so he can be a substitute teacher at Horris Green, an elementary prep school. But instead of getting his friend he pretends to be his friend so he can get the job. Hee winds up falling in love with Ms. Mullins, the Principal. He also realizes that the kids can play instruments so he creates a band and they call them selves The School Of Rock. All the kids play there instruments live and they are really good. I got a T-shirt that says School of Rock the musical.
