We got to meet Chef Morimoto!

Morimoto is one of my favorite restaurants. We have been there a bunch of times. My mom found a sushi class with Iron Chef Morimoto. When we arrived at Morimoto we got a bunch of delicious appetizers like pork belly with congee, hamachi tacos, and tuna pizzas. Then we got to go inside to be seated and we saw Iron Chef Morimoto! He demonstrated how to make and eat sushi. He made tuna rolls and a salmon and avocado hand roll. Then we had to do what he did. My Dad was having some trouble so Chef Morimoto came and helped him.

It was amazing! After making sushi we got a 4 course meal made by him. We started by having a salad with seared tuna it was so good!

For our 2nd course we had more sushi I liked the one with hamachi in it and my mom liked the red snapper. They served it with a miso tofu soup and that  was yummy.

For the 3rd course we had steak and a hollowed out potato with mashed potatoes inside.

For our last course we had dessert it was a coconut foam and in the middle was mango ice cream and on the very bottom there were yuzu pop rocks plus tapioca balls. I ate mine and my Dad's.

The adults had a bunch of sake. We stayed an hour after everybody left with 2 other couples at our table and one was a wine journalist.

A couple of days before the dinner it was Chef Morimoto's birthday, so when we first got to the restaurant I started making a birthday card for Iron chef Morimoto. It had a Mickey on it with a sushi hat that said Morimoto . The sushi hat that I drew on mickey looks exactly like the people who make sushi at the sushi bar. Inside I wrote happy birthday Iron Chef Morimoto and I also wrote Happy Birthday in Japanese. He even put it up on the big screen for everyone to see.

The dinner sadly had to come to an end. But we had a wonderful time!
