Dubrovnik

Today we did not take a tour we just walked around town.

When we were walking in to town we saw the beautiful wall and a cat sleeping on a piece of cement.

We also saw this hidden passage way that was actually a park and there was monkey bars and swings.

Then we walked into the tourist area also known as the old town.




We also saw a market and we bought some orange peels and dried figs and nuts so kind of like a dissected dried fruit cake.

We also walked down this alley and it had a gallery and it had a cat inside so I had to pet the cat. Then we walked a couple more blocks and we saw another cat so I had to pet that cat too.
     


Then we saw this café and the menu had buffalo mozzarella so we went. The mozzarella was amazing my mom and dad found all different kinds of interesting liquor in different kinds of flavors like walnut, honey, berry and herbal but my mom thought the herbal one tasted like medicine. My mom asked where could get liquor like that and he said that they have awesome liquor at the market that we were just at so we went back there and bought cherry liquor, rose, Dubrovnik liquor that was shaped as a violin and  lemon.

After we got some lunch at this café that was very busy and I had ravioli with smoked ham and truffles with a cream sauce and it was very yummy, my mom had a feta salad and my dad had a gratinee steak with asparagus and mushrooms.

My mom got some fig brandy and my dad thought he was ordering honey liquor but it turned out to be honey grappa. After we walked to a nearby gelato place and my dad got mango gelato and my mom got banana and I passed on gelato. Then we had to throw away the gelato because we could not take it on the bus and went back to the boat.
