Heraklion, Crete

We got off the ship and met our tour guide (but had a little trouble finding him). It was our tour guide's birthday. For our first stop we went to a coffee shop and my parents had coffee and there was really good  biscotti.

Then we went to our next stop which was a traditional dish that was ricotta cheese in between layers of filo dough (it was called bougetta). You had the option of having it with sugar and cinnamon and I had that and it was really good.

Next stop was a museum and we saw a lot of pictures from the Last Supper.

Then we went to a place that had  really good cheese.

After that we went to a restaurant that had a roll with tomatoes and cheese and olive oil. It was similar to the one in the picture at the museum and it was really good. We also had really good smoked pork, Snails, Cabbage rolled with meat, olives.

And for dessert they brought us Greek yogurt or should I say yogurt and honey and Halvas.

After that wonderful meal we went wine tasting but really my mom and dad had the wine.

Then we said goodbye to our tour guide and wished him a Happy Birthday!

After that we went shopping! I got a beautiful Greek dress and my mom got a white Greek dress. I got to take a picture with the man that designed the dress.

Then we went back to the ship and hopped on a bus and my Australian friend Ben was there. We talked and there was this guy that was talking to his parents and he was cracking jokes so I said "What is a girls' name when her heel on her shoe breaks off?" The answer is Lucille - get it - loose heel.
